[Everyday life] Dr. Shin, Dong-il

I'm so glad that I have been influenced by many good Christian-youth scholar-activists. Especially, I am recently excited to visit Dr. Shin's website and read about some of his insightful journals. His life style and attitudes towards the world and churches are very encouraging.
I want to live like him like who is very diligent to record his thoughts and organize things in his life in some open room- his online website. That helps people to understand him better without exaggerated informaion. I wish my life is also transparent to anyone at anytime like him who has been making it possible. I like his way of living and thinking: he used to like or prefer to live as a professor but not as a Christian, however, he had changed to live as a Christian- professional. I have been reluctant to show my identities to two different worlds because I thought that would not help either my profession or my faith.

Dr. Shin recognizes himself as a professor-writer-runner-father-husband-Christian. When he shared his faith in Christ and said that he had not wanted to reveal his christian identity, I was surprised because I was the other side. I used to feel obligation to show my faith in Christ to the world so that they may see Jesus in me and know him. As I was growing and mature in life, however, I kind of questioned me if I had really Glorified Lord. And I answered me for 'not really'.
